in the county of Norfolk husbandman beynge
of whole mynd and in good and perfect rememberance

Laude and praise be unto almyghty god
make and ordain this my present testammente
concerninge herein my last will in manner
and forme followinge that is to say ffirst I
commend my soull unto almyghtye god my
maker and redeemer and my bodye to be buryed
in the church yard of Roughton aforesayed
on [w]est side of the allye I bequethe to the
p[ar]son for my tythes neligentlye forgotten xxd
and to the poore mens boxe of the same
church xijd Item I bequeath to

my sister a blacke hewed cowe and
also vjs viijd that is to saye at Michaelmas
next ensuinge my deceasse iijs iiijd and att
Michelmas next and immeidiatlye after that
to be payed other iijs iiijd Item I will and my
mynd is that

my sister shall have
her beynge and dwelling in the kitchinge of
my dwelling howse imeadyatlye after my
deceasse so long and untyll my sonne shall
come and attayne to the full age of xviij years
with ingresse and outegresse at all tymes conveny-
ent provided alwayes and it is my verye will
that my sayed sister Alice shall have nothinge
to do nor meddell at noe tyme with the seller
and the kitchinge but my wife to have it and
enjoye it bothe ingate and outegate withoute
interruption Item I bequeathe to the poore of
the sayed p[ar]ishe by the advisemente and
discreation of my sup[er]visers to ev[er]ye one of
them a b[ushel] of rye to be delyvered at Easter
next after my deceasse
